Yes, I do refer to the next leader of the Liberal Party of Canada as a goose. Whose case, at any rate, is more than likely pre-cooked.

All right. No more bad analogies. I just really want to know why those people closest to actual contenders are coming down with sudden cases of anti-ambition syndrome. Stephen Harper's zombie/robot thing did it for Canadians... I don't know what all these fine stuffed suits are afraid of!

Case in point: Frank McKenna. Excuse my French but what the hell? You went and got my hopes up. Jeez.

Falling star number 2: Brian Tobin. "Serious contender" might have been a stretch, but still.

The list goes on... Of all the names that get batted around, it seems like no one actually important in the Liberal elite wants to be the big red cheese. Observe.

Hmm... in my very limited and not very well thought out opinion, I have only one question: Where did all the serious contenders go? Maybe it's just because I'm Albertan and therefore not privy to actual Canadian values, but I don't really understand how Belinda and Michael both represent anything more than posturing. Oh well. Guess I'll just have to do some actual research.
